Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – 13-week assisted living contract in Silver Spring, MD (May–Aug). Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends. Join a continuing care community just outside Washington, D.C. providing geriatric rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term care services.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240 - $2,400 (Competitive travel pay)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May–August)
• Setting: Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care – geriatric physical therapy / rehabilitation
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (No weekends)
• Hours per Week: 40

• Location: Silver Spring, MD 20904 – Washington, D.C. metro area

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Maryland or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in geriatric care, outpatient, or nursing/long-term care settings
• Experience with OASIS (opening) preferred
• Familiarity with documentation systems such as EMS-Myunity and HCHB is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience creating individualized rehabilitation plans

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physical therapy and rehabilitation services to residents in Assisted Living, SNF, and Long-Term Care units
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care and treatment plans focused on mobility, strength, balance, and function
• Document patient progress and plan updates accurately using facility documentation systems (EMS-Myunity, HCHB)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, OT, SLP, social work) to coordinate care and support resident independence
• Provide education to residents, families, and staff on therapeutic activities, fall prevention, and safe mobility techniques
• Adjust treatments based on resident response and clinical goals to maximize outcomes in long-term care and assisted living populations
