Travel Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) – Overnight Assignment in Hilo, Hawaii

Travel Radiologic Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,060
- Location: Hilo, Hawaii
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel radiology assignment
- Start Date: November 30, 2026
- End Date: March 1, 2027
- Shift Duration: 10-hour overnight shifts
- Shift Schedule: 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; average of three call days per month
- Hours: The assignment is listed at 40 hours per week; hours are not guaranteed
- Time Off: Time-off requests are not guaranteed, and no requested time off will be granted during the first 13 weeks
- Onboarding: Travelers must arrive on the island before the Monday start date to complete required onboarding and employee-health clearance appointments
Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of independent experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist or radiographer
- Current Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer by the start of the assignment
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with digital radiography (DR), fixed radiography, fluoroscopy, C-arms, and portable DR equipment
- Ability to work independently and safely without direct supervision during overnight shifts
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices, imaging protocols, and patient positioning
- Ability to wear and maintain an assigned dosimetry badge
- Experience with Philips DR, Philips fluoroscopy, Philips and OEC C-arms, Konica DR, and Epic EMR is preferred
Travel Radiology Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations according to established imaging protocols
- Operate fixed, portable, and C-arm diagnostic imaging equipment with accuracy and confidence
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care while preparing and positioning patients for examinations
- Apply radiation-safety principles and ensure the appropriate use of protective equipment and dosimetry
- Review radiographic images for quality and completeness, repeating studies only when clinically necessary
- Document examinations and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
- Support overnight radiology coverage and respond to scheduled call responsibilities
- Maintain equipment readiness and promptly communicate technical or patient-safety concerns
