Seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Houston, Texas. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950-$2,280

- Setting: PACU / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit / Perioperative Services
- Start Date: June 15, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Time: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Work Arrangement: On-site
- Call Requirement: On-call and call-back may be required
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
- Current Texas RN license or active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- PACU nursing experience or perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity surgical recovery environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with physicians and the healthcare team
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
PACU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient status throughout recovery
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective care
- Assist with examinations, treatments, and post-procedure interventions as needed
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Maintain complete, accurate medical records and documentation
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly
- Support patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care in the PACU setting
