Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license
• Current BLS certification
• 1+ year of Occupational Therapy or rehabilitation experience required
• Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Experience working with adult and pediatric patient populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients and establish measurable functional goals and treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic testing to assess patient impairment and potential for improvement
• Deliver therapeutic interventions and adapt techniques to meet individual patient needs
• Fabricate adaptive equipment and splints as needed to support patient outcomes
• Re-evaluate patients and adjust treatment plans based on progress
• Document patient care, education, and communication accurately and thoroughly
• Collaborate with medical and allied health teams to support discharge planning
• Instruct patients and families on therapeutic procedures to continue at home
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and daily statistical records
• Support department policies, quality initiatives, safety, and infection control standards
• Assist in training and mentoring staff, students, and support personnel as requested
