Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Peoria, Illinois. This 13-week travel nursing assignment in Central Illinois offers hands-on experience caring for patients with neurological, neuro-surgical, amputee, multi-trauma, cardiac, and other complex medical needs. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (Travel Nurse)
- Setting: Acute Rehab Unit (29 beds) — acute rehabilitation nursing
- Contract: 13-week travel assignment (Start: April 13, 2026 — End: July 13, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation (every other holiday)
- Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)
- Dress Code: Any color scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, or willingness to initiate Illinois state application/permit
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; strong neuro / neuro-rehab skills preferred
- Ability to float to LTAC or med-surg units as needed (flexible acute care RN)
- Negative drug screen required prior to start
Responsibilities — Acute Rehab Nurse
- Provide high-quality nursing care to acute inpatient rehab patients with neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, cardiac, and complex medical needs (trachs, no vents)
- Collaborate closely with PT, OT, and Speech Therapy for interdisciplinary rehabilitation plans
- Participate in team conferences and goal-setting for acute inpatient rehab patients
- Perform rehab-specific documentation, including QRP and facility-specific rehab charting in EPIC
- Complete a structured orientation (2 days classroom + 2–3 shifts with a preceptor) to ensure success on the unit
- Work with nurse aides (typical ratio 1:9/10) and coordinate with house supervisors as needed
- Follow unit policies regarding floating, dress code, and patient safety standards
