Correctional Nurse Job Details
- Location: Cleveland, OH 44109 (Ohio nursing jobs)
- Setting: Correctional healthcare facility (Cuyahoga County Jail, serving 1,300–2,000 inmates/patients)
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1940 – $2200
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 250–300 pounds with assistance and push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance
Correctional RN Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, document, and evaluate nursing care for patients in a correctional healthcare setting
- Provide patient care in accordance with provider orders, recognized nursing standards, and facility policies
- Utilize approved nursing techniques and procedures to ensure high-quality clinical support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to address individual patient needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
