Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or a valid compact state RN license
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in psychiatric nursing, behavioral health, or mental health nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic patient care preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced psychiatric unit
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults/adolescents with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
- Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, observe and document patient responses
- Perform psychiatric assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team
- Deliver crisis intervention, de-escalation, and patient/family education
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to behavioral health facility protocols
- Accurately document clinical observations, progress notes, and discharge planning
