Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in California
- Minimum 1 year experience in a social work manager or similar leadership role
- Experience with EMR systems — EPIC preferred (Epic experience highly valued)
- Proven leadership, team management, and staff development skills
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (IDT) in a hospital or clinical setting
- Previous hospital or healthcare social work experience strongly preferred
- Kaiser experience is a major plus
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership to a team of 13 social workers, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care
- Coordinate care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, case managers, therapists) to support discharge planning and patient transitions
- Oversee daily social work operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
- Provide mentorship, performance feedback, training, and professional development for social work staff
- Use EPIC EMR for clinical documentation, reporting, and workflow management
- Focus on direct clinical social work services—no SNF, home health, or DME responsibilities
