Job Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Surgery
- At least 1 year of general surgery experience
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Comfort working in a high-acuity, collaborative hospital environment
- Ability to manage clinic, OR, rounding, and call responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Responsibilities
- Provide general surgery coverage in clinic and the operating room
- Participate in scheduled OR days and TAVR day coverage
- Manage approximately one clinic day per week with an estimated 15 patients daily
- Perform daily rounding and coordinate care with advanced practice provider support
- Cover weekday and weekend call as scheduled, with APP support available
- Deliver high-quality surgical care in a busy trauma-capable setting
- Collaborate closely with the care team to support smooth patient flow and continuity of care
