- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 (competitive pay for Travel RN / Telemetry RN)
- Location: Ottumwa, IA 52501 (Ottumwa, Iowa — Iowa travel nursing jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 per week (please specify preference upon application)
- Patient Ratio: 1:6 (with support staff including CNAs and LPNs)
- Electronic Health Record: MediTech (experience with MediTech EHR a plus)
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Telemetry Nurse
Job Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa) — valid Registered Nurse license required
- BLS certification required
- Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)
- 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)
- Recent titers (within the last 12 months)
- Background checks (criminal and child abuse) must be fully cleared prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (Telemetry or Med/Surg preferred)
- Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to float within a 25-mile radius if needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective nursing care to adult patients on the Telemetry unit as a Telemetry RN
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to telemetry alarms and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Document patient care accurately using MediTech EHR
- Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs as part of the care team
- Float to other units within a 25-mile radius as needed
