X-Ray Tech Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of X-Ray Tech experience required
- Recent hospital radiology or diagnostic imaging experience preferred
- Current active state licensure, if required
- ARRT certification preferred or required based on facility guidelines
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a travel healthcare schedule
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, imaging equipment, and patient safety protocols
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and proper positioning
- Operate X-ray equipment accurately and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Follow radiation safety standards, infection prevention guidelines, and hospital policies at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper handling of imaging records
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any issues promptly
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospital environment
